As usual the racist PEGIDA movement’s Munich branch marched once again. The usual participants were amongst the mass – neo-nazis, holocaust deniers, NPD party-mmbers and the Identitarian movement – quite taking the lead in shouting paroles as PEGIDA marched. After PEGIDA crossed the “Platz der Opfer des Nationalsozialismus” (Square of the Victims of National Socialism) Munich antifacists managed to pass by the march and riot police sprinting forward and shortly blocking the road. The demonstration was guided past the road-block. Later on antifacist counter-protestors managed a second time to block the marching route. Approximately 100 people separated and blocked two different possibilities for a PEGIDA route. Also this time Munich Police Departement decided not to evict the roadblocks, but guide PEGIDA through a small hole on the side of the roadblock. As the racists demonstration returned to Odeonsplatz neo-nazis such as known Petra K. and convicted neo-nazi terrorist Thomas Schatt split off the mass and entered the subway station. The group was awaited by a small group of antifacists. Riot police came too late to prevent a small wrangling.
