According to organizers more than 60.000 people participated in a demonstration on January 13th in Vienna against the recently inaugurated Austrian government. ÖVP and far-right FPÖ formed a coalition and have announced to e.g. cut women’s right on self determination and migrants’ right of movement in the Republic of Austria. Already on inauguration day some weeks ago several thousand have taken it to the streets.Adiverse spectre of political parties, groups and initiatives participated in the protest. An anticapitalist and anti-authoritarian block lighting flares and smoke bombs marched few meters after the front-banner. Police withdrew, blocked streets for cars and could almost only be seen at the final rally.
